Turn up the heat

The Selection Committee for Erotic Art Week 2009 has completed what has now become its first round of selections. The selection of spoken word pieces is still on-going and will be completed by the 11th June.

Works by twelve talented artists have been selected from on-line submission. However, we are extending the deadline in order to attract more submissions. The Committee felt that many the pieces that were not selected was primarily because "they (the work) did not address questions on Relevancy that were put forward in EAW selection criteria", i.e., Does the project have a unique approach to the theme? Does it shed new light on some aspect of erotica? Does it take an innovative approach to presenting ideas?). It may be that  artists are self-censoring, or it could be a true and valid reflection of who we are as erotics. If the former is the case - take it up a notch!

Closing date for second round of submissions is Monday 8th June, 2009. Spread the word.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail us at eroticartt@gmail.com. Submissions should also be sent to the same address.
