Bertrand de Peaza
As an established photographer on the local professional circuit, bertrand’s current artistic interest is the female form and finding exploring the power she may express in her sexuality – something seemingly made taboo since the glass ceilings shattered. His exploration also engages the subject as collaborator in the creation of the image. Models seem to take more control of the lens than does the photographer – an interesting and subtle balance of power and allure exudes from each pose. Bertrand’s images seem to capture the empowerment of femininity rather than an objectification of it. They capture beauty, strength, character, conviction, independence and power.
